Day 1 – July 19, 2010

What a great start to camp this year!We want to welcome all of our new campers this year and our returning campers as well.  The Blackhawks started the day on the ice with skills testing. Testing will continue for all groups again on Friday; all results will be sent home on the ATP report card.  The Flyers started of with hockey tactics, followed by an ice session of skills testing.  Our oldest group, the Penguins had a great game of touch football, fitness with coach Mike and their first ice session.  All three groups have 2 ice sessions each day, 1 1/2 hours each.  All of the kids worked hard, participated with enthusiasm and met new friends.  Tomorrow we will present our first Leadership award to one camper in each group. Dave McNeill of Hanbridge and Bowmann has graciously donated 5 gift certificates to SportChek for $25 each.  There will be other awards as well to be won for those campers that display good sportsmanship, hard work, and support others in the group.  We have a fantastic group of kids at camp and look forward to a week full of fun and of course, hard work!!
