Camp Day 4
Luckily, the rain held off for most of the day, but even with a little bit of drizzle, the kids continued to play and have fun outside! The Wings began the day with an interesting type dodgeball; with tables as blockages the kids ran through the course trying their best not to get hit by the ball (the pictures will explain it all!). All groups both worked very hard through a series of 12 fitness stations…skipping, ladder run, balance ball, squat runs, wall sit, step ups, etc… The Canucks also worked with Coach Page on a few team-building games…Rock, Paper, Scissors train, followed by Team Rock, Paper, Scissors (once again, the pictures explain it all!)
On-ice all groups worked through a number of stations, working on speed, agility and further improving their skating skills. Today was also evalutaion day. All campers will receive an Evalution/Report Card on Friday at the end of camp.
Don’t forget, tomorrow is our annual Water Fight! Please bring a water gun, towel and most importantly…change of clothes.
You still have time to order the 2009 ATP Camp photo. Please let me know by tomorrow morning if you’d like one. The cost is $5.00 and pictures will be ready by the end of the day. Also, if you have not already done so, Income Tax reciepts are ready to be picked up from your child’s instructor.

Camp Day 3
With this beautiful weather, excited and energetic campers, wonderful instructors and counsellors…..we couldn’t have asked for a better day at camp. For the Wings, the day started with a gruelling 45 minutes workout by Coach Mike; one sure to build up the lacic acid in those muscles and make then a little sore for tomorrow! The Canucks and Penquins were also put to the test with repeated intervals of squats, bounding and leaps. Outside, the Canucks worked together as a team by all standing on the planks together and moving it one step at a time. For all groups, the ice-sessions this afternoon involoved skating with parachutes, triangle tug-of-war, ladders and pulleys, to all further devop their power skating skills.
The pictures will help explain some of these activities, however I apologize for the poor picture quality. I tried a different setting on the camera today that didn’t turn out as well as I thought it would! Tomorrow, the pictures will be much better!
The 2009 camp photo and now been added to the site. James Masters once again did a fabulous job in putting this together and taking such a great shot of over 100 people. If anyone would like a copy please let me know by Friday morning and we will have it ready for the end of the day. The cost for the picture is $5.00.
